  • Detailed route descriptions
e.g. "Take the 2nd turning to Aurora about 20km along the Veldrift Picketberg Road (R399). First turning (about 5km from Laaiplek) also OK if you have the time but does mean you spend longer on a sand road. Look out for Southern Black Korhaan along the entire route and the patches of coastal fynbos that remain support a variety of birds including Cape Penduline Tit. The areas cleared for agricultural activities support a variety of larks plus African Pipit and Capped Wheatear."
